Communications and Public Affairs increases awareness, understanding and support of UCLA's vision, mission, and accomplishments among its many constituencies. A major focus of this department is the formulation and implementation of strategic communications initiatives, plans and events that support a desired image and sets of perceptions of UCLA. Communications and Public Affairs employs community outreach and visibility strategies to cultivate increased recognition and support among public and opinion leaders for UCLA's role as an engine for the quality of life in Los Angeles.
